Johnskibeat- I watched 30 Days of Night last month [or was it the month before?] Anyway, the review is around here somewhere. ;)

Jonathan - I thought the the whole asking mommy dearest if she may of had twins was laugh worthy, same as when she looks up all surprised and says, "I know who killed me!" Uh, you are still alive, no? Silly girl. I've heard of the book The Lost, just haven't come across it yet. I tend to read a ton in the summer and watch movies like mad in the winter. I'll add it to my list of books to read, thanks.

Maybe it was just due to all of the terrible reviews I had read going into this, but I thought it was fine. It's not a very good movie by any means, but it's also not the terrible pile of dung that everyone made it out to be.

The twist at the end is fairly suprising even though like you said they don't tie everything up. I also found it hillarious when Lohan asks her mom if it's possible she's a twin? If you're asking the mother, wouldn't that be just a simple yes or no question, not a possibility? Well, sweetie, I guess I could have had twins.

If it ever gets a release of any kind, the director, Chris Siverstein's first film, "The Lost," is pretty damn good. Like the recent "Girl Next Door," it's based on a Jack Ketchum novel. I dont' know how much horror fiction you read, but Ketchum is definitely worth checking out.
