Frankenfish by Mark A.Z. Dippé [2004]

Title: Frankenfish
Director: Mark A.Z. Dippé
Starring: Tory Kittles, K.D. Aubert, China Chow
Runtime: 84 minutes
Year: 2004

If you want some silly little twists, predictable characters on the edge of kinda hot, and red necks - then you'll like this release.

I actually really liked the monster, in that pure cheese kinda way, but that's about it.

Not even 10 minutes after watching it, I find nothing memorable to write about it.

Ah well.

Not recommended.

Ha ha, what do you expect with a film called Frankenfish? I watched this when it first aired on the Sci-Fi Channel. I will expand your review a bit and add that for a PG cable film I thought it had alot of excessive R-rated gore.

What's with these straight to video kind of flicks anyway? Does anyone really get excited about them?

I've seen this one on the shelf a few times. One more than one occassion, I was tempted to pick it up. Guess I'm kind of glad I avoided it. ; )

Karswell - The only straight to video flick I remember being any good recently was Wrong Turn 2. It was actually better than the first. I've got a screener of White Noise 2 sitting next to me that I'll probably watch later today. From what I understand, it's also straight to video, and was only released theatrically overseas. Nathan Fillion's in it, so hopefully it's not sh*tty.

WOW Jo, where do you get these flicks from? I commend your dedication.

I think I just enjoy picking up anything and everything- joys of still venturing out to a video rental shop! Haha

B-Sol - I think I'm a sucker for punishment. ;)

Director Dippé is responsible for turning Spawn the comic into Spawn the bedtime story. I can't imagine him doing any better with, well, any other film.

You have a great blog!
